The Elliot Lake area is a paradise for boaters with every type and size of vessel. The thousands of fresh water lakes and rivers lend themselves to virtually every boating experience imaginable from sail boats and yachts to motorboats, canoes and kayaks. There are a number of marinas and municipal and man-made launches in the area to provide you with easy access to the many waterways. The larger waters of Lake Huron’s North Channel are just 20 minutes south of the City and are recognized as one of the best freshwater cruising grounds for both power and sailboats. The North Channel is approximately 112km by 16km running from Sault Ste. Marie to Killarney, and the unspoiled cruising paradise gives you access to hundreds or uninhabited islands.
